Legionnaires’ disease, of course, is a gift Philly gave to the world back in 1976, when a wild outbreak of the chest-attacking bacteria occurred here at the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel, with quite disastrous results. That it happened again at Hef’s mansion, as his airbrushed titty empire is in the process of a long slow death, well, that’s just a cosmic metaphor.
